A new name but the same people and service

You may notice in November that we drop the Bartlam element of our name to become Bayfields Opticians. I hope you’ll be reassured to know, however, that only our name is changing. The ownership is the same, all the staff you're used to are still with us, and you’ll continue to get the same personal, expert attention and wide choice of products and styles.

So why the name change?

Since 2009, we've had three branches and have worked hard to ensure you receive exactly the same level of care at all of them. Giving all three the name Bayfields Opticians reflects our commitment to giving you a consistently excellent service that you can trust, wherever you visit us.

Listening, so we really understand your needs

Whichever branch you go to, you’ll always be seen by a qualified optometrist or optician for the whole appointment, even when choosing your frames. It’s unusual, but it allows our experts to really get to know you so they can advise you on the very best eyewear for your lifestyle. If you’re sporty, for example, you may benefit from prescription swimming goggles, sports spectacles or sunglasses.

Get the latest products first

If you prefer contact lenses, you’ll be pleased to know our optometrists have in-depth knowledge of the latest innovations. In fact, we’re often one of the first opticians to be offered new products.

Using advanced technology to detect issues early

Next year, we'll invest in an instrument for our Headingley branch that takes a detailed scan of your eye. It'll be one of only around 40 in the country and detects the very early onset of conditions such as glaucoma. We already have one in our Yeadon branch, so, if you'd like a scan, please make an appointment there. Whether we use this or another of our state-of-the-art pieces of equipment during your appointment, you’ll always get a clear explanation of what we’re doing and why.

If you'd like any further information about our new branding, or if you have questions or comments about our service to you, please contact Bayfields Opticians or call us on 0113 275 1303
